Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Kyoto Station, exit the station and head northwest toward Karasuma-dori. Walk along Karasuma-dori for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Shijo-dori. Turn left onto Shijo-dori and continue for another 500 meters until you reach Nishiki Market. From there, take the first right onto Nakanocho. Continue walking for about 200 meters, and you will find Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine on your left at 537 Nakanocho.

  • Public Transport - Subway

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (the green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at Shijo Station. Use Exit 1, and once you are on street level, walk straight along Shijo-dori for about 300 meters until you reach Nishiki Market. From Nishiki Market, turn right onto Nakanocho and walk about 200 meters to find Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine on your left at 537 Nakanocho.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Kyoto Station, take bus number 205 or 17. Get off at the Nishiki Market stop. Once you get off, walk straight until you reach the market. From there, take the first right onto Nakanocho and walk approximately 200 meters. Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine will be on your left at 537 Nakanocho.
