Walking
If you are in the heart of Gion, a great way to reach Ishibe Kōji Road is by walking. Start from Shijo Avenue (Shijo-dori), which is a major street in Gion. Head east towards Hanamikoji Street, known for its traditional wooden machiya houses. Continue walking along Hanamikoji until you reach the intersection with Shimbashi-dori. Turn left onto Shimbashi-dori, and after a few minutes, you will arrive at Ishibe Kōji Road, which is just off Shimbashi-dori. Look for the small alleyway to your right leading to Ishibe Kōji Road. The total walking distance is about 10 minutes.

If you find yourself further away from the main Gion area, you can take a bus to get closer. From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus #100 or #206 to Gion. The bus fare is around 230 yen for a single trip. Once you arrive at the Gion bus stop, disembark and walk towards Hanamikoji Street.
