Car
From Nara city center, take the Route 369 heading north towards Kyoto. Continue on Route 369 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 162. Turn left onto Route 162, which will take you into Kyoto. Follow Route 162 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Shugakuin area. Look for signs directing you to Sekizan-zen-in Temple located at 18 Shugakuin Kaikonbocho. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local regulations.

Public Transportation
From Nara Station, take the JR Nara Line to Kyoto Station. At Kyoto Station, transfer to the Kyoto Subway Karasuma Line and head towards Kokusaikaikan Station. At Kokusaikaikan Station, transfer to the Eizan Railway and take the train towards Demachiyanagi Station. Get off at Shugakuin Station. From Shugakuin Station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Sekizan-zen-in Temple. Exit the station and head north on Shugakuin Kaikonbocho road, following the signs leading to the temple.
