If you are driving in Shinano, start by heading towards Nagano City. From central Shinano, take Route 18 towards Nagano. Continue on Route 18 for about 15 km until you reach the junction for Route 403, then take a left onto Route 403. Follow Route 403 until you enter Nagano City. Look for signs to Zenkōji Temple; you will need to turn onto Motoyoshicho. The temple is located at Motoyoshicho-500. There is parking available nearby, but it may be limited during busy times.

To reach Daihongan, Zenkōji Temple using public transportation, first head to Shinano Station. From there, take the Nagano Dentetsu Line train towards Nagano. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nagano Station, exit the station and look for bus stops. Take the Zenkōji Line bus heading towards Zenkōji Temple. The bus ride is about 10 minutes. Get off at the Zenkōji Temple stop, and follow the signs leading to the temple, which is just a short walk away at Motoyoshicho-500.
