You'll see signs indicating 'Zenkōji' as you approach the city. Upon reaching the temple area, park in one of the nearby parking lots. The Niōmon Gate is located just before entering the main temple grounds.

To reach Niōmon Gate via public transportation, take a train from Shinano to Nagano Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Nagano Station, exit the station and look for the bus terminal. Take a bus bound for Zenkōji Temple; buses run frequently. The ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Zenkōji bus stop, and from there, you can walk towards the temple entrance. The Niōmon Gate will be visible as you approach the temple.
