Getting There

Public Bus
From Matola, head to the nearest bus station (Estação de Transporte de Matola). Look for a bus heading towards Maputo. You can take any bus that goes to the city center of Maputo. Once you're in Maputo, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the EN1 highway. This should be around the Praça dos Trabalhadores area.

Matola to Maputo (Local Transport)
After you arrive at the EN1 highway, you can wait for a minibus (called 'chapas') that goes towards the Maputo Special Reserve. Make sure to ask the driver if they go to 'Maputo Special Reserve' or just 'EN1 Km 84'. The ride should take about 30-45 minutes.

Walking from Drop-off Point
Once the minibus drops you off at EN1 Km 84, you will need to walk towards the entrance of Maputo Special Reserve. The entrance is marked, and you should be able to see signage for the reserve. The walk from the drop-off point should take about 10-15 minutes.
