Getting There

  • Walking

    Starting from the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, walk straight towards the colonnade in front of you. Exit the basilica and turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. At the river, turn right and walk along the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo (St. Angel Bridge). Cross the bridge and head straight until you reach the intersection with Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Turn left onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano and continue walking until you reach Piazza Barberini, which is located at the intersection with Via Barberini. The square should be visible ahead of you as you approach.

    From St. Peter's Basilica, walk back to Via della Conciliazione and head towards the nearest bus stop, which is located at the end of the street. Take bus line 40 (direction Termini). When you reach the Termini station, get off the bus and transfer to Metro Line A. Take the metro towards Anagnina and get off at the Barberini stop. Exit the station, and you will find yourself at Piazza Barberini.
