Car
If you are driving from Nara City, take Route 24 towards Kyoto. After about 30 minutes, merge onto Route 163 towards Ujitawara. Continue on Route 163 for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Ujitawara. Look for signs directing you to Kawakami-149 Okuyamada. The Shoju-in (Furin-ji) temple will be on your right. There is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
To reach Shoju-in (Furin-ji) by public transport, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Nara Station to Kintetsu Ujitawara Station. The journey takes about 40 minutes. From Kintetsu Ujitawara Station, take a taxi for a 10-minute ride to Kawakami-149 Okuyamada. Alternatively, you can walk, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow the main road south from the station and keep an eye out for signs to Shoju-in.
