Getting There

Bus
From Nara Park, walk to the Nara Kotsu Bus Terminal located at the East exit of Nara Station. Take the Kyoto-bound bus (number 30) towards Kyoto Station. Disembark at the 'Shijo Karasuma' stop. From there, walk north along Shijo Street for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Oike Street. Turn right and continue for 5 minutes until you see Shikiamicho on your left. The Kyoto Shibori Museum will be at 135−5 Shikiamicho.

Train
Take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Kintetsu Nara Station to Kyoto Station. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, transfer to the Karasuma Subway Line. Board the train heading towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at 'Karasuma Oike Station'. Exit the station and head east on Oike Street for about 5 minutes. Turn left onto Shikiamicho, and you will find the Kyoto Shibori Museum at 135−5 Shikiamicho.

Walking
If you are near central Nara, you can walk to Nara Station. From the station, head towards the Nara Kotsu Bus Terminal. Take the bus to Kyoto as described above or, for a scenic route, walk to the Kyoto Imperial Palace area first. It's about a 45-minute walk. From the palace, head south towards Oike Street, turn left, and walk until you reach Shikiamicho. The museum will be on your left.
