    Walking

    From St. Peter's Square, head towards the colonnades at the front of St. Peter's Basilica and exit through the main entrance. Once outside, turn right and continue walking along Via della Conciliazione until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, continue straight on Lungotevere Castello until you reach the junction with Via dei Banchi Nuovi. Turn left onto Via dei Banchi Nuovi and continue walking straight. After a while, you'll reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Cross the street and continue walking straight until you reach Largo di Torre Argentina. From there, continue onto Via di Torre Argentina, which will lead you to Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Take a right onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina and continue straight until you reach Piazza di Porta Maggiore.

    Public Transport

    From St. Peter's Square, walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Piazza San Pietro'. Board bus line 64 heading towards 'Termini' and get off at 'Termini' station. Once at Termini, transfer to Metro Line B (the blue line) heading towards 'Laurentina'. Travel for two stops and get off at 'Castro Pretorio'. Exit the metro and walk straight towards Via di Porta Maggiore. Follow the road signs, and in approximately 10 minutes, you will arrive at Piazza di Porta Maggiore.
