Walking
From St. Peter's Square, head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once you exit the basilica, turn left and walk along the Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, passing the Castel Sant'Angelo on your right. When you reach the end of the road, you will see the Tiber River ahead. Cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge, and continue straight into the historic center of Rome. After crossing the river, take a right onto Via dei Fori Imperiali. Follow this road, and you will find the Roman Forum on your left side.

From St. Peter's Square, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Via della Conciliazione. Catch bus number 40 or 64, which will take you towards Termini Station. After a few stops, get off at the stop ‘Piazza Venezia’. From there, walk towards Via dei Fori Imperiali, and the Roman Forum will be just a short walk down this road on your left.
