Walking
From St. Peter's Square, head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. Once you exit the Basilica, turn left and walk along Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, continue walking straight on Lungotevere Castello until you reach the intersection with Via Giulia. Turn right onto Via Giulia and then take another right onto Via dei Banchi Vecchi. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, where you will turn left. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Navona, then follow the signs to Via del Teatro Pace, which will lead you to Largo di Torre Argentina. From there, take the bus line 44 towards 'Stazione Termini' and get off at 'Santa Severa' bus stop to reach your destination.

Begin at St. Peter's Square and walk to the nearest bus stop on Via della Conciliazione. Board bus number 23 towards 'Piazza dei Giudici'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop 'Santa Severa'. From there, it is a short walk to Santa Severa Castle. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the castle.

Ride along the street until you reach the Tiber River, then take the bike path that runs alongside the river. Continue biking along the river until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge and follow the bike path along Lungotevere Castello. When you reach the intersection with Via Giulia, turn right and then right again onto Via dei Banchi Vecchi. Follow the path until you reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Turn left and bike until you reach the bus stop for bus 44, which will take you to the Santa Severa Castle area.
