Walking
From the Vatican Museums, exit the main entrance and head towards Viale Vaticano. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn left onto Via di Porta Angelica and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass by the Castel Sant'Angelo on your left. Continue walking until you reach the Tiber River, then cross the bridge (Ponte Sant'Angelo). After crossing, turn left onto Lungotevere and follow it until you reach the next bridge, Ponte Sisto. Cross this bridge and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn right onto Via Garibaldi and continue straight until you reach the entrance to Janiculum Hill.

From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza del Risorgimento. Take bus number 913 towards B. G. Pio IX and get off at the stop called 'Gianicolo'. This bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Once you get off, follow the signs for Janiculum Hill which is just a short walk from the bus stop.
