From the Vatican Museums, exit the museums and head towards Viale Vaticano. Turn left onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking until you reach the end of the street. At the intersection, turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica. Continue straight until you reach the Basilica di San Pietro (St. Peter's Basilica). From there, you can take the bus number 64 or 40 from the bus stop in front of the Basilica towards Termini Station. Get off at the 'Piazza di Porta Maggiore' stop. Once you exit the bus, you will find yourself at Piazza di Porta Maggiore.
