Hartford Stage, a Tony Award-winning regional theater in downtown Hartford, has been a vibrant part of Connecticut's cultural scene since 1963. Known for its innovative revivals of classics and thought-provoking new works, the theater offers a diverse range of performances in its intimate 489-seat John W. Huntington Theatre.

Walking
Hartford Stage is located in downtown Hartford, easily accessible on foot from many nearby hotels, attractions, and parking garages. From the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, walk east on Main Street, then turn right onto Church Street. The theater will be on your right. Walking from Union Station (Amtrak) , head north on Union Place toward Allyn Street, turn right onto Allyn Street, then left onto Ann Uccello Street, and finally right onto Church Street. Hartford Stage will be on your right after Trumbull Street. Street parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays.
Public Transport
CTtransit provides bus service to downtown Hartford. Use the CTtransit website or app to plan your trip and find the most convenient route to Hartford Stage. The Hartford Dash, a free downtown shuttle, also stops near the theater. A single bus fare is $1.75.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Hartford. A short ride from Union Station or other downtown locations to Hartford Stage typically costs between $8 and $15, depending on traffic and demand.
Parking
The MAT Garage, with entrances on Church Street and Chapel Street, offers parking for Hartford Stage patrons. Event parking at the MAT Garage is $7. Several other parking garages and lots are located within walking distance of the theater, including Morgan Street Garage, A & A Lot, and High Street Lot. Rates at these garages typically range from $5 to $10 for a few hours. Street parking is available and free on weekends, but limited.
