Public Bus
From downtown Lawrence, head to the nearest bus stop on Massachusetts Street. Look for the bus line that goes towards the Lawrence Transit Center. Board the bus and ride it until you reach the Lawrence Transit Center. Once there, transfer to the bus heading towards Kansas City. After traveling for approximately 40 minutes, you will arrive at the Kansas City International Airport. From the airport, you can catch a flight to Boston. Once you land at Logan International Airport in Boston, take the Silver Line Bus towards South Station. Get off at South Station and switch to the Red Line towards Alewife. You will need to transfer to the Blue Line at Government Center Station. Take the Blue Line to Bowdoin Station, then transfer to the Green Line towards Lechmere. Get off at Haymarket Station. Finally, walk towards Long Wharf, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

Start by walking to the Lawrence Amtrak Station located at 413 E 7th St. Purchase a ticket for the Amtrak train heading towards Chicago. Enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 10 hours. Once you arrive at Union Station in Chicago, transfer to the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited heading to Boston. After approximately 20 hours, you will arrive at Boston's South Station. From there, take the Silver Line Bus towards South Station. Finally, walk towards Long Wharf, which is about a 15-minute walk away.

If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Lawrence. Start by heading east on 9th Street towards Massachusetts Street. Turn right onto Massachusetts Street and continue north until you reach the bike path that leads to the Lawrence River Trail. Follow the trail east towards the Kaw River. Cross the bridge over the river and continue on the bike path. This route will lead you to Interstate 70. You can then follow the paths leading towards the Kansas City area. To reach Boston, you may need to combine biking with public transport or plan a longer multi-day cycling route to reach a train station that connects to Boston.
