Walking
From Praça de Cidade, head southeast toward Rua 5 de Julho. Continue straight on Rua 5 de Julho until you reach the intersection with Avenida 14 de Agosto. Turn left onto Avenida 14 de Agosto and walk for about 500 meters. The museum is located on your left, just past the local market. The walk should take around 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport
To reach Sala Museu Amílcar Cabral using public transportation, find a local 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) heading towards the city center. Ask the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Rua 5 de Julho and Avenida de Portugal. From there, walk straight down Avenida de Portugal for about 700 meters, and turn left onto WF9R+MQV. The museum will be located on your right after 200 meters. Bus fare is approximately 35 CVE. Be prepared to pay extra for baggage.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Praia. A taxi ride from the airport to Plateau (city center) costs around 500 CVE during the day and 800 CVE after 6 PM. A ride between two furthest points in the city shouldn't cost more than 1500 CVE during the day or 1800 CVE at night. Always agree on a price before setting off or ensure the taxi has a taximeter. A 5km ride in Praia costs about 850 CVE.
