Getting There

Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums through the main entrance. Once you are outside, head towards the main road, Viale Vaticano. Turn left and walk along Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection at Piazza San Pietro. Continue straight, passing the Basilica, and head towards Via della Conciliazione. At the end of Via della Conciliazione, cross the Tiber River using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, turn right onto Lungotevere in Augusta and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via di Ripetta. Here, take a left onto Via di Ripetta which will merge into Via del Corso. Continue on Via del Corso until you reach the bus stop at Corso/Vittoriano. From here, board Bus 87 towards 'Cinecittà'. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Capannelle' stop. Walk for about 5 minutes down Via Appia Nuova to reach Capannelle Racecourse.

From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and walk to the Ottaviano metro station, located about 15 minutes away on foot. Take the Metro Line A (Red Line) towards 'Anagnina'. Transfer at the 'Termini' station to Metro Line C (Green Line) towards 'Pantano'. Get off at the 'Gardenie' station. After exiting, walk about 10 minutes down Via Appia Nuova to reach Capannelle Racecourse.
