Walking
From Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the entrance of Vatican Museums. Once you are outside, walk towards the main road (Viale Vaticano) and turn right. Continue straight until you reach the end of the road where it intersects with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn left and walk until you reach the Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). From there, walk towards the exit of the square and head towards Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the bridge (Ponte Sant'Angelo) and continue straight. You will reach the intersection with Via di San Giovanni in Laterano; follow this road until you reach the Piazza del Campidoglio, where the Capitoline Museums are located.
Public Transport
From Sistine Chapel, walk back to the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Exit and head to the nearest bus stop on Viale Vaticano. Take bus number 81 or 87 towards the direction of 'Piazza Venezia'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Venezia'. From here, walk up the hill towards the Capitoline Museums, which is located at Piazza del Campidoglio. The museums are just a short walk from the bus stop.
